Nirmala Tea Estate

Nirmala Tea Estate, located in Assam, spans over 303.88 hectares of picturesque land. It serves as the pride of our company, where the art of tea cultivation comes to life. With a dedicated workforce operating at both the garden and factory levels, we ensure that every step of the tea production process is meticulously carried out. Our permanent workforce, numbering approximately 400, works tirelessly to maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency in our tea. We also have additional workers to meet the demands of tea production, all of whom are employed on a daily basis. Supporting our workforce is a team of 60 key management personnel who play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the operations of the garden. At Nirmala Tea Estate, we take pride in our team and the remarkable tea they help cultivate, bringing the finest flavours from our gardens to your cup.

Extensive organic applications, such as the use of replenishing soil from nearby areas, cow dung, vermi compost, and mulching materials, enhance the overall organic health of our garden. To further exemplify our dedication to sustainability, we are on the verge of installing solar panels to harness renewable energy. This initiative will not only reduce our reliance on non-renewable resources but also significantly lower our carbon emissions.

Social Initiatives

In line with our commitment

to sustainability, we have partnered with the Bharatiya Cha Parishad, a statutory body, to allocate 5% of our total land for alternative uses. This progressive initiative has allowed us to embark on a solar energy project that will harness green energy for self-consumption. Additionally, we will supply any excess power generated to the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited. By embracing solar energy, we actively contribute to the betterment of the planet as a whole and pave the way for a greener future.
Empowering our Workforce

At Nirmala Tea Estate, we prioritise the well-being of our staff and labourers. Recognizing that a significant portion of our labour force comprises of women, we have partnered with SESTA (Seven Sisters Development Assistance) to create a safe and empowered workspace for them. Through this collaboration, we provide education on self-protection, hygiene, sanitation, and women empowerment, ensuring that our female workers are supported and empowered both personally and professionally.
